Service Settings

Besides the AI Processors, each Service has a set of NetOrca Pack settings that control how Pack behaves for that Service as a whole. These settings are managed by the Service Owner and apply to all AI Processors of the Service.

Setting Default Description
auto_trigger_on_change_approval true Automatically start the Pack Pipeline when a Change Instance is approved.
universal_executor_enabled false Run the Pack Pipeline stages of this Service through the Universal Executor.
show_pack_to_consumer false Let Consumers see the Pack Pipelines of their own Service Items.

Configure Service Settings

PATCH /v1/ai/serviceowner/pack/profiles/service/<service_id>/ HTTP/1.1
Content-Type: application/json
Authorization: Token <YOUR_TOKEN>
{
  "auto_trigger_on_change_approval": true,
  "universal_executor_enabled": false,
  "show_pack_to_consumer": false
}

Only the settings included in the request are changed. Configuring the settings requires an ADMIN or CONFIGURATION role in the Service Owner team.

To see the current settings of a Service:

GET /v1/ai/serviceowner/pack/profiles/service/<service_id>/config/ HTTP/1.1
Content-Type: application/json
Authorization: Token <YOUR_TOKEN>

Auto Trigger on Change Approval

By default, approving a Change Instance automatically starts the CONFIG stage of the Pack Pipeline for the related Service Item, as long as the Service has an active CONFIG AI Processor (see Trigger).

Disable this setting when the pipeline should only be started on demand — for example, when an external process decides when configurations are generated, or while the AI Processors are still being tested. The pipeline can still be triggered manually, retriggered, or fed with pushed PackData.

Change Instances of type DELETE never trigger the pipeline automatically.

Universal Executor

When enabled, the CONFIG, VERIFY and EXECUTION stages of the Service run through the Universal Executor:

  • The prompt sent to the LLM is extended with the Universal Executor prompts configured by administrators in General Settings, followed by the AI Processor's own prompt.
  • The response follows the Universal Executor's response schema for each stage. Custom Response JSON Schemas cannot be set on the pipeline AI Processors of the Service while it is enabled.

The Change Instance Validator and the Pack Optimizer are not affected by this setting.

Show Pack to Consumer

By default, Pack Pipelines and their PackData are visible to the Service Owner only. When this setting is enabled, Consumers can view the pipelines and PackData of their own Service Items in read-only mode — for example, to follow the progress of their request or review the generated configuration.

Consumers can never trigger, retrigger or push PackData, and they cannot see the pipelines of Service Items owned by other teams.
